Vidya Balan has had to go through a lot to slip into the voluptuous character of Silk Smitha in the upcoming film Dirty Picture.
If low neckline tops and thigh-revealing skirts and ghagras were not enough to contend with, Vidya is now said to be opting for bum pads to get a sexier derriere for the film being directed by Milan Luthria.
Vidya was originally required to gain a lot of weight for her role and turn into a plump, pneumatic siren that Silk Smitha was in the prime of her acting career down south in the 80s and 90s. She was then required to lose the gained weight for another schedule of the shoot. Since such rapid swings in her weight could not have augured well for her health, the actress is learnt to be choosing an easier option.
She will use pads to look more rounded at all the required places, mostly the bust and butt.
The movie narrates the story of an attractive, sensuous woman who acquires fame but gets disillusioned in love and eventually destroys herself.
It’s a role with many shades, and if Vidya is going the extra mile, she thinks it is worth it.
