Britney Spears says she will “kung fu kick” anyone who doesn’t like her new promo.
The pop princess posted a link to the new music video for her track Hold It Against Me on her Twitter page last night, after it debuted on MTV.
The internet is abuzz with discussions about the high-tech promo, the song for which is taken from her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. It was directed by Jonas Akerlund, and shows Britney is back to her dancing best.
“Without further adieu, I present my video for Hold It Against Me, directed by the wonderful Jonas Akerlund,” she wrote on Twitter. “Hope you guys love it as much as I do. If you didn't I'll kung fu kick you like I did to that chick in the video (sic).”
In addition to the choreography, fans have also been buzzing about the clip's climactic fight scene, which finds Britney dueling it out with another version of herself – speculated to be her showing the world that she is taking control of her own image.
Hold It Against Me was premiered on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on January 10, 2011.
It was released as a digital download exclusively to the iTunes store the following day. Hold It Against Me debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is Britney’s second consecutive number-one single, giving her a total of four number-one singles in the US.
